Steve Sharp wins 2008 Telly Award for Sound Design

Steve Sharp of MediaPDX in Portland, OR received the prestigious 2008 Bronze Telly Award for Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design for his work on Source to Sea: The Columbia River Swim.

The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, post houses, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Awards is a highly respected national and international competition and receives over 14,000 entries a year.

Source to Sea: The Columbia River Swim was produced by Andy Norris of Little Beirut Productions and tells the story of Christopher Swain, who became the first person to swim the entire 1,243 mile length of the Columbia River. His swim brought stories about the river's disrupted ecosystems and dislocated peoples to over 20,000 North American schoolchildren, and to a worldwide media audience of over one billion people.

Steve Sharp collaborated with Andy Norris and his editor Andy Adkins on several levels, providing footage of the Columbia River headwaters as well as audio post production and DVD authoring.
